About Baramati, Pune

Baramati is a small city situated on the outskirts of Pune. It is located about 100 kilometres outside Pune and about 250 kilometres from Mumbai. This locality has seen a growth in its population with brands like Piaggio, and Ferrero, apart from the MIDC Industrial Area being established here. These businesses and the accompanying workforce have also led to major residential builders such as Devraj Builders and Developers and Satkar Group Real Estate. Being an up-and-coming city, it offers some key benefits people look for when they prefer moving out of a larger city. For instance, the Air Quality Index is quite good, and most parts of the city are clean with good hygiene levels.

What's Great About Baramati?

Baramati generally has a good public transport network, making it easy to get around within city limits. Among the various means available, buses provide the largest network and, thus, the best connectivity for most residents. Several roads in the city are also being widened to cater to growing vehicular traffic.

Regarding the city's safety, most areas are well-lit with streetlights, making them accessible at night. Further, police patrolling is actively seen in most parts, resulting in negligible crime rates. In terms of Baramati's livability, there are several parks in the city, such as Vasundhara Oark and Nakshatra Garden. Further, most areas in the city are clean and largely hygienic, while the AQI is also generally high with limited pollution.

What's Not Great About Baramati?

While the city has several positives, there is one aspect in which it can see some improvement. In terms of connectivity, autos are not easily available, and commuting via cabs can be rather expensive for most.

Baramati is well connected by several major roads. For railway access, the Dhaundh Junction Railway Station is located about 48 kilometres from the city and can easily be accessed by NH65. Lastly, the closest airport to Baramati is the Pune International Airport, which falls at a distance of roughly 110 kilometres and can be reached via the Pune-Solapur Road.
