Begumpet is a posh neighbourhood in the city of Secunderabad in the state of Telangana in India. Basheer Unnisa Begum, the daughter of the sixth Nizam (Mahbub Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VI), was given this land as part of her bridal dowry when she wed the second Amir of Paigah Shams ul Umra Amir e Kabir.
