Indian Airlines is set with another flight service called Akasa Air, which commenced its first-ever operation on Sunday from Mumbai to Ahmedabad. The inauguration occurred at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, in the virtual presence of MoS Retd. The Akasa new airlines investors are Aditya Ghosh, Vinay Dube and Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. On July 7, 2022, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted the air operating certificate.
