The bestselling author has recently acquired a lavish ₹13.65 crore apartment in Mumbai’s Lodha World One Project. Amish Tripathi’s property in Mumbai is located in South Worli. According to Square Yards Data Intelligence, Amish Tripathi’s property price is ₹13.65 crores. The sale deed for the property was finalised on July 4, 2024. Amish Tripathi’s property stamp duty cost is ₹81.9 lakhs. At the same time, the Amish Tripathi property transaction fee is ₹30,000. 

The author’s new address spans about 2,700 sq. ft. (251 sq. m.) of carpet area. Amish Tripathi’s ready-to-move-in residence was acquired through a direct sale from MacroTech Developers Limited, the corporate entity behind the Lodha Group.

Rising Demand for Luxury Housing in Mumbai

Amish Tripathi’s flat in South Mumbai is part of a rising trend in Mumbai’s real estate market. As per a report by India Sotheby’s International Realty and CRE Matrix, sales of luxury homes 

above ₹10 crore have recorded an 8% increase in Mumbai. Their overall recorded sales in the first half of the 2024 calendar year amounted to ₹12,300 crore, notably higher than ₹11,400 crore recorded in the first half of the 2023 calendar year.

Another report, Mumbai Luxury Housing H1 CY24, highlights this as Mumbai’s highest half-yearly sales ever, contrasting it with ₹7,000 crore worth of average bi-annual sales since 2019. Additionally, it notes that Mumbai sold 1,040 luxury residential units in the past year, the highest in any 12-month period. 

ANAROCK’s research further highlighted that the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) recorded a 15% increase in the average prices of residential properties. From roughly ₹11,890 per sq. ft. in 2022, it rose to about ₹13,700 per sq. ft. in 2023. Moreover, MMR’s average housing prices have risen by approximately 50% in the past five years. Amish Tripathi’s flat in Worli suburb is part of this region, which holds the top rank in real estate demand and supply. In 2023, MMR recorded the highest levels of new launches, at 1.57 lakh units, and sales, at 1.53 lakh units.
