Andhra Pradesh: Railway Projects Expediting, Rs 720 Billion Budget.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Pushes for Expedited Railway Projects and Land Acquisition

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced that the Railway Ministry is ready to invest a staggering Rs 720 billion in the state for various railway projects. In a meeting with officials from the Railway and the state government, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for completing ongoing works on railway projects at the earliest possible.

To ensure the timely completion of railway projects and resolve land acquisition issues, Chief Minister Naidu has decided to form a task force comprising officials from the Railway, Revenue, and Roads and Buildings R&B. The task force will work towards the rapid completion of ongoing projects and identify solutions to hurdles in land acquisition.

Expressing his concern about the sluggish progress of certain railway projects, Chief Minister Naidu urged officials to take immediate action to complete the works on time. He expressed disappointment about the projects being hindered by the policies implemented by the previous government and stressed the need for fast-tracking completion.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Naidu made various suggestions and directed officials to initiate immediate steps to overcome delays in ongoing projects. He emphasized the importance of land acquisition and instructed officials to take the necessary measures to resolve any issues interfering with the process.

Chief Minister Naidu prioritized the completion of the Kotipalli-Narsapur railway line within a timeframe of four months. Additionally, he greenlit the immediate release of Rs 20 crore for acquiring 11 acres on the Nadikudi-Srikalahasti railway line. After the completion of land acquisition processes, the Chief Minister ordered officials to fast-track the Sattupalli-Kovvur line.

Discussing the Kadapa-Bengaluru railway line, Chief Minister Naidu stressed the necessity of a detailed discussion due to recent alignment changes. He also outlined an ambitious agenda, urging officials to complete ongoing railway projects within three years, while doubling works should be finished within four years.

Chief Minister Naidu believes that both project completion and connectivity improvement can yield greater results by interconnecting road, railway, and air networks.

With these strategic moves and financial pledges from the Ministry, the Andhra Pradesh government aims to continue positive momentum in railway development and infrastructure, ultimately benefiting the state and its citizens.
