With premium projects like Radius Project Bandra, Sunteck Signia Isles and Sunteck Signia Pearl in its kitty among many others, BKC (Bandra-Kurla Complex) is steadily coming into its own as a preferred residential real estate destination. The BKC was conceived initially as a major business district by MMRDA (Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority) although residential projects are steadily coming up here now backed by strong demand. BKC functions as a major alternative to the CBD in Mumbai and has witnessed huge growth with several global and national companies operating out of the area along with the development of retail hubs and offices of multiple consulates. BKC’s scorching growth is majorly attributed to its central location to the north of the Mahim Creek and surrounded by Bandra, Kurla and Santacruz. Most buyers in the area choose premium real estate units and prices have increased on the back of strong demand in recent years. There is abundant social infrastructure available along with all necessary amenities. The Santacruz-Chembur Link Road (SCLR) has improved connectivity to Thane, Kurla, Chembur and Ghatkopar. The area is home to the Reliance Jio garden, MCHI ground and MMRDA grounds which host several festivals, exhibitions and events. There are several shopping options in nearby Linking Road and the Phoenix Market City mall at Kurla. There are two elevated roads being planned for decongesting traffic on the vital SCLR and one will run from Vakola Flyover to another flyover near the SCLR, passing through the Kalina University Junction. The other elevated road will run from MTNL Junction at BKC and will go till the LBS Marg flyover in Kurla. A 4-lane road is also being built to Chunabhatti from the Bandra-Kurla Complex. There will be a metro station in the area as part of the metro line proposed to SEEPZ from Colaba while the proposed bullet train project will have a station at BKC, linking it to Virar and Thane.
