Provident Fund

  • The state government would match the contribution made by eligible employees of INR 25/month with the government’s contribution of INR 30.
  • On the deposited amount of the provident fund, the government will bear the annual payable interest.
  • Once the recipients reach the age of 60 or cease being a subscriber under the programme or if the account becomes inoperable due to the unfortunate demise of the appliance then the net cumulative amount along with the interest will be reimbursed to the nominees of the recipients.

Note: If the subscribers fail to make any contributions to the PF account for three consecutive financial years, then the account gets terminated. However, on the request of the Assistant Labour Commissioner, such an account may get restarted and he/she can also request outlining the non-payment reason.

Health and Family Welfare

  • A sum of INR 20,000 will be received by the beneficiary or the family member who requires funds due to any treatment on hospitalisation under the West Bengal Health Scheme on an annual basis.
  • A few additional healthcare benefits are as follows:
  1. Clinical testing cost
  2. Medicine cost
  3. Hospitalisation cost
  • The beneficiary and family members are eligible to claim multiple times in a year. However, the net amount to be sanctioned is limited to INR 20,000.
  • The beneficiary and family members are entitled to get financial assistance of up to INR 60,000 annually for nearly any type of operation. The assistance of expenses are as follows:
  1. Total job payment in case of job loss at the rate of INR 1,000 for the very first five days
  2. INR 100 will be provided as additional assistance for the remaining days.

Note: The maximum limit for the sanctioned amount is INR 10,000.

Disability and Death 

  • In case of the unfortunate demise of the beneficiary, the nominee will receive the total sum of INR 2,00,000.
  • A sum of INR 50,000 will be sanctioned if the beneficiary dies due to natural calamity.
  • In case of a disability of 40% or greater, the beneficiary would receive a sum of INR 50,000. 
  • If the beneficiary encountered an irreversible loss of both hands, feet, and eyes, the amount of INR 2,00,000 will be sanctioned.
  • In case of irreversible damage to the sight of one eye or one hand and feet, an amount of INR 1,00,000 will be sanctioned.

Educational Benefits

  • Safety and skill development training will be provided to the workers by the Paschim Banga society.
