Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has made yet another real estate purchase in Mumbai. This time, he has bought three office properties spread across three floors in a commercial project located in Oshiwara, a locality in Mumbai’s western suburb Andheri. The deal, valued at nearly Rs 60 crore, has further expanded Bachchan’s investments in the city.
Expanding His Portfolio: This recent acquisition adds to Bachchan’s already impressive real estate portfolio. He currently owns four offices in the same commercial tower, with a total built-up area of over 12,000 sq ft and a carpet area of 10,800 sq ft. In September, he had leased these offices to Warner Music India for a period of five years.
New Office Space in a Prime Location: The newly purchased office space spans 8,429 sq ft of carpet area and is situated on the 27th, 28th, and 29th floors of a ready-to-move commercial tower in Oshiwara. As part of the deal, Bachchan will also have exclusive access to three car parking slots in the building. The stamp duty for the registration of this transaction amounted to over Rs 3.57 crore.
Continuing Real Estate Investments: This latest investment comes on the heels of Bachchan’s acquisition of a land parcel in Alibaug, near Mumbai, where he plans to build a luxury villa. He also purchased a land parcel in a 7-star mixed-use development near the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya earlier this year. A notable transfer was the gifting of their bungalow, Prateeksha, in Juhu, to their daughter Shweta Nanda, which was formalized through gift deeds.
