Smart City Chennai: Mission, Map, Projects, and Current Status

The Smart City programme in Chennai is working towards making it a culturally safe city with sustainable living. The smart city programme will enhance mobility and urban infrastructure. It will also prepare the city for all the physical, economic, and social changes.

Currently, 490 cr. are released from GOI Funds, 391 cr. GOI Funds transferred to SPV, 400 cr. released for State Matching Share, 387 cr. for Utilization Certificate GOI, and 326 cr for Utilization Certificate State. These funds will lead to the complete transformation of Chennai city into a new advanced one.
