Amrapali Dream Valley Enchante Homebuyers Finally Receive Possession
After a decade-long wait, 51 homebuyers of the Amrapali Dream Valley Enchante project in Greater Noida West have finally received the keys to their apartments. This long-awaited handover process was initiated by the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC), four years after the corporation was tasked with completing the stalled project.
Completion of the Stalled Project Brings Relief to Homebuyers
The Amrapali Dream Valley project was launched in 2010, and the construction of the third phase, Dream Valley Enchante, began in 2014, promising to deliver flats within 36 months. However, the project faced significant hurdles when the developer filed for bankruptcy, leaving numerous buyers in limbo.
Efforts of NBCC and Gautam Builders
In 2019, the Supreme Court assigned NBCC to manage the completion of Amrapali’s stalled projects, which included over 38,000 units across various developments. The assignment faced further delays caused by a blacklisted construction firm in 2022. However, NBCC managed to overcome these obstacles, bringing in Gautam Builders to finish the Dream Valley Enchante society. Currently, two towers consisting of 300 flats have been completed, and the remaining three towers are nearing completion.
Homebuyers Share Stories of Struggle and Hope
Shailendra Bhadauri, one of the relieved homebuyers, expressed his relief after a long and emotionally and financially draining journey. Despite having a government accommodation in Delhi, Bhadauri, a 56-year-old public sector employee, will need to vacate it upon retirement in three years. Anuj Maurya, another homebuyer, shared his struggle of paying off a Rs 1.5 million loan while living in rented accommodation in Ghaziabad. Both of them emphasized the significance of the support they received from fellow homebuyers throughout the difficulties.
Hopes High for Unfinished Amrapali Projects Managed by NBCC
NBCC is currently overseeing the management of 14 unfinished Amrapali projects in Noida, including Sapphire 2, Crystal Homes, and other phases of Dream Valley. In 2019, the Supreme Court held Amrapali Group accountable for misusing homebuyers’ funds and revoked its license under the RERA Act. This step brought some resolution to the long-standing issues faced by the buyers.
In conclusion, the handover of the Amrapali Dream Valley Enchte project apartments to 51 homebuyers marks a significant milestone after a challenging 10-year wait. The completion of the stalled project brings hope to the remaining 800 buyers who are also expected to soon receive possession. Homebuyers express their gratitude and perseverance in overcoming the emotional and financial toll of this journey. Efforts made by NBCC and Gautam Builders contributed to the successful completion of the project, with further work being done on other phases. With NBCC currently managing various other Amrapali projects, there is renewed hope for the resolution of the broader issue faced by homebuyers in the region.
