Approximately 51 kilometres of metro lines will become active in Delhi-NCR over the next 3 months as per reports. This will give a massive boost to real estate markets in Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida and parts of Delhi and Gurgaon. These new metro corridors include the extension of the Blue Line towards Electronic City from Sector 34 in Noida, Dilshad Garden to New Bus Stand line in Ghaziabad and the Aqua Line linking Greater Noida and Noida. The Ghaziabad metro stretch mentioned should become operational within a couple of months with the other two corridors expected to be functional within a month’s time. 51 kilometres will be ready in the Delhi-NCR over three months as per the target set by the Union Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs. The Lajpat Nagar-Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 corridor in the Pink Line of the Delhi Metro has already been inaugurated and covers 9.7 kilometres. This line comes with several stations, namely Vinobapuri, Lajpat Nagar, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Ashram, Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 and Mayur Vihar Ph-I. A stretch of 1.4 kilometres between Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake station and Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 will be connected soon. This corridor is a part of the Pink Line which covers 59 kilometres going to Shiv Vihar from Majlis Park. The Ghaziabad metro line spans 9.41 kilometres and the Blue Line extension is roughly 6.8 kilometres. The elevated stretch for the latter will have stations like Noida Sectors 61, 52, 34, 62, 59 and Noida Electronic City. This will also boost overall connectivity to Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram which is accessible through the National Highway 24. The Aqua Line linking Greater Noida and Noida will span 29.7 kilometres with 21 stations.
