DSIIDC – Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation

The DSIIDC or Delhi State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation was set up in 1971, February. This corporation was established with the thought of promoting the development of both the industry and the infrastructure. The Delhi State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation takes responsibility to look after the infrastructural development in the unauthorised colonies set up in Delhi. It works to produce basic facilities for the betterment of these areas. These include water drains, roads and illegal colonies that are located across the state. The Delhi State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation was working on road projects for locations like Rohini, Chhatarpur, Badli, Uttam Nagar along with twenty others in 2021.

2. Accomodation Availability of Urban Poors

The DSIIDC also works with an aim to provide houses to the urban poor sector of the state. So far, they have managed to provide about 13,280 homes. These houses are allotted to the people along with setting basic facilities such as sewage disposal, water and electricity and with some habitable facilities. The DSIIDC housing is situated in various locations such as:-

• Narela
• Bawana
• Pooth Khurd
• Kanjhawala

Note: To make these houses economical, there were more fly ash articles used during their construction.

3. Maintaining Industrial Areas

The Delhi State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation is also in charge of providing and sustaining infrastructure services in 29 different industrial estates in Delhi. The DSIIDC also looks after the augmenting, management, operation and upgrading of the industrial areas and makes sure that these areas have an efficient and smooth operation space to have good performance standards. It also takes care of the main project that is established under PPP. The PPP projects are located in Narela, Okhla, Bawana and Patparganj.
