E-Challan is a challan document prepared electronically and issued via the ECS (Electronic Challan System). The GOI (Government of India) has launched an e-challan initiative to enhance its services and boost transparency. In keeping with the idea of digitalisation, traffic violators may now pay e-challans either online or offline, depending on the service offered by their state. The e-challan method has diminished bribery and the usage of cash while receiving a challan receipt.
