The Employee Pension Fund is a retirement savings plan sponsored by an employer. It is a defined benefit plan, meaning that employees will receive a specified benefit at retirement. The benefit is usually based on the employee’s salary and years of service. It is imperative to understand the terms of the fund, including how the benefits are calculated and when it is paid out.
The Employee Pension Scheme (EPS) benefits are claimed using Form 10C. The Employee Pension Scheme segments a portion of your PF contributions into EPS each month, which can be withdrawn using Form 10C.
