The Noida real estate sector will benefit once again after the commencement of operations of the Magenta Line of the metro railway network. The Noida-Greater Noida metro line will commence operations within the next few months as per the latest reports. This will give a further fillip to the realty sector in Noida and overall infrastructure development along with boosting commercial and office space demand in this micro market. Additionally, the extension work will start soon for the Greater Noida West metro which is another major development. There are two planned routes for this line, namely to Sector 142 from Okhla Bird Sanctuary station on the Magenta Line and between Sector 71 and Gaur Chowk at Greater Noida West. Authorities in Greater Noida and Noida will be working together for this new project. There will be 9 metro stations on the Greater Noida West metro railway network and the corridor between Sector 71 and Knowledge Park will span 14.15 kilometres as per reports. All metro stations on this line will be elevated ones. Construction costs are expected to surpass Rs. 3, 880 crore as per estimates while the second line will need another Rs. 2, 127 crore according to reports. This line will have 1.20 lakh people commuting on a regular basis post completion based on estimates. This new development will hugely boost the real estate market in Greater Noida West where there are more than 200 big-ticket real estate projects already which will be home to 2-3 lakh households over the next few years. Some of the top projects near this region include Mascot Patel Neotown, Oasis Venetia Heights and Mahagun Mywoods to name a few.
