Hadapsar in Pune will benefit from the development of a couple of underpasses for lowering traffic congestion. Commuters from Sasanenagar, Ramtekdi and Kale Padal zones can easily expect improvements in overall traffic movements in the near future. The PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation) standing committee has already issued its approval for the construction of a couple of underpasses at the railway crossing for bringing to an end longer queues at gates whenever trains cross. Rs. 6.98 crore has been approved as the budget for building these two underpasses. These will be developed by the Central Railway authorities and funds will be given in phases by the Pune Municipal Corporation.
There are traffic jams at the crossings on a daily basis and there are long queues of vehicles on both sides once the railway crossing gate closes. These underpasses will tackle traffic coming from both the sides. These facilities are being developed on the Pune-Satar-Miraj railway track. The standing committee had previously given its approval for conducting a feasibility study of the whole area for zeroing in on locations for building the underpasses.
Civil work will be starting soon and the tendering procedure has already been started by the railway authorities. Work will be completed in collaboration with the Central Railways. The approach road is first needed since this will be catering to people’s movement based requirements for several years. Developments like these which boost overall road and connectivity infrastructure will certainly make Hadapsar a more attractive destination for homebuyers and spark the development of more real estate projects here.
