Newly elected President Droupadi Murmu addressed the country on the eve of India’s 75th Independence Day and said, “We Indians proved doubters wrong. On this soil, democracy does not only flourish but also gains ground. She added that India had contributed to the world’s realization of democracy’s full potential.”
