The Housing Board Jharkhand was to allot 232 houses in Ranchi, Hazaribagh and Daltonganj by draw of a lottery The Jharkhand Housing Board had issued a notification regarding the allotment. Application forms were given out to the applicants in September – October 2019.
In Ranchi, there were 25 houses to be allotted in Harmu, 158 houses/flats in Hazaribagh and 47 houses in Daltonganj. Those persons whose land was acquired by the Housing Board were to be given preference during house allotment. Those applicants who had been a resident of Jharkhand for the past 05 years were eligible to apply. The criteria were that these applicants should be residing in the Notified area of these districts, as per the Municipal Corporation. Applicants were required to file an affidavit swearing that there is no criminal case against them.
The Applicants, however, needed to fulfill the following criteria related to their annual income:
