Established in 1992, the DAMAC group ventured into real estate development in 2002 with DAMAC Properties, its flagship brand for real estate developments. Led by Mr. Hussain Sajwai, the chairman of the group, DAMAC has seen a meteoric rise especially with its listing on the London Stock Exchange in 2013 and Dubai Financial Market in 2015.

Damac has successfully executed work on 2 master developments in Dubai which are spread over 100 million sq. ft. area. Akoya by Damac which has now been renamed as DAMAC Hills is a major development themed around Beverly Hills architecture and layout. For Golf aficionados, it has included Trump International Golf Club bringing the global brand to Dubai.
Akoya Oxygen is the other development and also comes with a Golf Course by Tiger Woods. Vista Lux at Oxygen is a major dining, retail and entertainment destination.
