Gurugram welcomes its first residence with a fibre optics integrated facade, making the property – designed on the concept of minimalism – converge with the skies.
Now that people are done hoarding and going over-the-board designing their homes, something entirely new is surfacing up. Designed by Cityspace’82 Architects, ‘The Illuminati’ is the result of a client brief that required a minimal home design. The architects came up with a home design that is beyond amazing.
The highlight of the house is the fibre optics integrated façade. Fibre optic cables – that were limited to automobile lighting so far – have now entered the architectural world too. This Gurugram property uses fibre optics lighting technology in the facade to create superior lighting.
The innovative use of fibre optics results in a glistening effect of twinkling stars, helping the home stand apart in a concrete neighbourhood.
The client desired a home that reflected minimalism and yet converged with the sky. They also wanted it to reflect robust attributes and light-filled living spaces, apart from a lot of indoor and outdoor seating areas and a reading corner.
The house requires zero maintenance. The fibre optics integrated façade includes smaller cubes that were omitted from the bigger ones. This technique provides enough punctures and openings in the buildings, thus letting natural light penetrate every corner of the house. The use of fibre optics light along with the white painted wall on the front façade helps create the convergence of the building with the sky.
The boundary wall has been treated with dry stone cladding, bringing to the fore glamorous detail. The slab has been scooped out to highlight a stellar-like profile giving an illusion of bent stones.
The gate has been installed in porcelain as this material is a scratch and water-resistant and termite-proof medium. Integrated directional lighting in the driveway acts as mood/ ambient lighting in the night. Following the entrance is a water reservoir embellished with stepping stones, serving as a masterful spectacle.
The elegance of the home reflects not just in the elevation but also in every corner of the home. Stylish waiting and service areas lead to a modishly engineered basement, bestowing a sense of gratification.
The Illuminati is the first residence in India that has used a fibre optics integrated façade – a home conducive to the experience and aesthetics of a luxurious residence.
