In the inauguration ceremony ‘Azadi@75 – New Urban India: Transforming Urban Landscape’ PM Narendra Modi praised the government for the efforts put forward to get the better of challenges and hurdles of the urban middle class.
”In addition he gave words about the RERA Act, saying it a major step towards the betterment of the real estate sector and to eradicate the discrepancies.” He added, the RERA Act came as a game-changer by saving the housing sector from sinking into the ocean of mistrust and fraudulent activities. It has commendably empowered all stakeholders.”
In the course of the inaugural function in Lucknow, PM Narendra Modi relinquished the keys to 75,000 beneficiaries who booked their houses under the Scheme of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. These PMAU-U beneficiaries belong to 75 districts of UP. Adhering to the Covid guidelines, the interaction with the beneficiaries took place through a virtual platform.
Modi digitally handed over keys of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) houses to 75,000 beneficiaries in 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh and also interacted virtually with beneficiaries of the scheme in Uttar Pradesh.
This inauguration function was organized with a specific agenda, to place the foundation stone for the Urban Development Projects of UP under the exceptional Smart Cities Mission & AMRUT. Additionally, 75 new buses were flagged off under the scheme FAME-II. These buses were flagged for seven cities “ Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Ghaziabad.”
Above all, the takeaway of the inauguration ceremony was the announcement about establishing the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Chair in Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), in Lucknow.
Addressing the folks, PM said that the properties with male registration need to be corrected as the concrete step was to register the properties in women’s name as owners or co-owner.
The Prime Minister focused on the massive growth of the construction of houses under PMAY. It showed an immense increase, contrary to the total number of construction that took place in previous years. He stressed that beyond 1.13 crore housing units are already constructed from which 50 lakh has been already handed over.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi added, “India has recorded a huge transformation across the Urban Sector in the past decade especially with the infusion of technology.” Integrated Command and Control Centers seeded from technology and are flawlessly running across the nation in more than 70 cities. He added that we should say ‘Pahle Aap- Technology First’ as everything orients around the technology and offers utmost convenience to the citizens.
