According to her, the company offers an end-to-end solution and experience for homeowners with thousands of customizable designs and a plethora of products along with affordable rates. The platform ensures superior 3D visualization of interiors with VR experiences, enabling customers to truly experience the final outputs. There is a designer workbench, auto bills of materials and real-time project status updates along with seamless logistics and order management with vendors.
Interior Company has already designed and executed 200+ projects, while setting up its offices at Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Noida and Dubai. Driven by her own innate passion for interior décor and home furnishings, Kanika Gupta Shori harnessed her own creativity to bring this dream to life. The timing was just right, since Square Yards was getting indicators of strong demand for such interior services from existing clients. This was the missing piece that got added to the puzzle according to the dynamic Square Yards Co-Founder.
She also talked of how it was fun to build a new business again from scratch although she was more confident and clear this time around. SquareYards, on the other hand, started with her nursing her newborn and from her home office. She calls the assembling of an A star team as her most crucial task and it is mostly peopled by women. She also feels lucky at finding strong and creative women leaders for the Interior Company.
There is an in-house interior design team offering client consultations while implementing orders via empanelled vendors. There are also partnerships with factories at Bangalore, Manesar and Mumbai for manufacturing on the basis of client requirements and enabling swift transportation of products. Kanika Gupta Shori highlights affordable prices and smooth designing experience as the core USPs while aiming at tapping into sizable demand in both Tier-I and Tier-II markets. On her own inspiring journey, she opined that entrepreneurship has no gender and a woman with self-belief may achieve almost anything she wants. She talked of how she was initially nervous while starting Square Yards and that too after her maternity break. However, she simply believed in going with the flow and succeeded through being firmer, more professional and disciplined than my male counterparts in her own words. She also talked of not facing any big issues in the entrepreneurial journey by dint of being a woman.
She also opined how women can be understanding, communicative, compassionate and yet firm leaders. Kanika Gupta Shori is now targeting industry leadership in the interior design vertical, with expansion across Tier-I cities and other Tier-II counterparts. Offline experience centres are also coming up, beginning from Gurgaon, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Noida. Design experience studios will soon dot all Tier-I cities according to her.
