Lucknow’s population is speculated to increase by up to 65 lakhs by 2031, which means expansion of the city restrictively. Therefore, a 95 km long outer ring road and various lateral streets will be added to the master plan. 

The new plan includes three hi-tech development plans and ten townships in Lucknow by 2031.
