Mahindra Logistics Limited, a leading provider of integrated logistics solutions in India, is set to broaden its footprint in West Bengal with the commencement of operations at a new fulfilment centre in Malda. The 1.1 lakh sq. ft. facility is dedicated to handling fulfilment and last-mile deliveries, enhancing Mahindra Logistics’ comprehensive logistics solutions in the region.
End-to-End Delivery Capabilities
The new fulfilment centre is a critical part of Mahindra Logistics’ supply chain network, offering end-to-end fulfilment and distribution capabilities. Strategically positioned in proximity to demand centres, the centre ensures efficient and timely deliveries to the regional customers of the grocery and e-commerce sector, benefitting approximately 15,000 households daily. With a daily processing capacity of 10,000 orders and an inventory capacity exceeding 15 lakh units, the facility is well-equipped to meet the growing demands of the region.
Job Opportunities and Commitment to Diversity
By establishing the new fulfilment centre, Mahindra Logistics will create over 750 job opportunities, including 350 dedicated personnel for the last-mile network. In line with its commitment to diversity, the company aims to fill 25% of the fulfilment centre roles with women and individuals from the PwD and LGBTQIA+ communities, promoting inclusivity within the logistics industry.
Expanding Warehousing Footprint
With the addition of the new centre in Malda, Mahindra Logistics reinforces its warehousing footprint in West Bengal to 3.3 lakh sq. ft. The company offers a wide range of services, including full truck load, part truck load, and integrated services, catering to nearly 2000 pin codes in the region. This expansion is part of Mahindra Logistics’ vision to expand its presence across the country and provide integrated supply chain solutions to customers nationwide.
