Kanika Gupta Shori is the co-founder & COO of Square Yards, a global real estate advisory consultancy. One of the brains behind the creation of the company, she has garnered significant media attention and has won several accolades including “Young Achiever,” “Woman Icon” to name a few. Square Yards is a technology-enabled O2O transaction and aggregator platform for the Global real estate. In less than four years since inception and under Kanika’s astute leadership, Square Yards has already become India’s largest real estate and fintech aggregator, with 1700 employees and presence across 10 countries and 40 cities.
Kanika is a multi-talented and versatile personality who has been associated with various social causes such as empowerment of women and supporting women entrepreneur with COWE, Vision First (An NGO supporting Refugees in Hong Kong), Mother’s Choice (An NGO that helps children without families) & Hong Kong Green Homes (An initiative to better the society we live in).
Kanika is educated at Wharton Business School, is a CFA Level 2 candidate, in addition to being post graduate in management with specialization in finance in India & a degree in Bachelor in Arts (Economics) from Delhi University. Kanika has dabbled in fields of investment and entertainment before starting Square Yards. After her professional stints in asset management, acting, and modelling wherein she worked with India’s reputed brands in portfolio management and Indian Television Industry; she embraced motherhood. While bringing up two kids, Kanika decided to help her husband in managing their real estate portfolio. And therein started her passion for real estate, which led to the creation of Square Yards in 2013.
Kanika is a certified Scuba Diver by Padi; a trained dancer having knowledge of Salsa, Tango, Zumba, Kathak and Bollywood Dancing. She is also an adventure sports enthusiast and loves travelling and backpacking. Kanika currently lives in the UAE along with her husband and two children.
