Minister TG Bharat aims to make Kurnool a smart city, looks to replicate Gujarat’s industrial success

Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing TG Bharat has unveiled plans to transform Kurnool town into a smart city and boost industrial development in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at a media conference on Saturday, Bharat highlighted the issues faced by the public and the state government’s commitment to resolve them.

Addressing Public Grievances: During his election campaign, Bharat personally listened to the concerns raised by the public. Recognizing the importance of addressing these grievances, he handed them over to Municipal Commissioner A. Bhargava Teja for immediate attention. By prioritizing these issues, the state government aims to improve the overall quality of life for its citizens.

Efforts to Foster Industrial Development: Bharat stressed the importance of promoting industrial growth in Andhra Pradesh, making it comparable to Gujarat. The state aims to attract more industries, thereby generating employment and reducing unemployment rates. To achieve this, the government plans to develop the Industrial Corridor at Orvakal and revive previously signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with industrialists during Investor Summits.

Streamlined Approvals for Entrepreneurs: In addition to these initiatives, Bharat announced the introduction of a streamlined single-window system for entrepreneurs intending to establish industries. He mentioned that this system would expedite permission processes, allowing entrepreneurs to obtain the necessary approvals within 21 days. Such a simplified procedure will encourage more individuals to start their own businesses, thereby boosting economic growth.

A Collaborative Approach: The media conference, attended by Kurnool Municipal Corporation Commissioner A. Bhargava Teja and other officials, highlighted the collaborative approach adopted by the state government. By involving key stakeholders in the decision-making process and actively seeking solutions to public grievances, the government aims to create an environment conducive to industrial development and economic prosperity. With ambitious plans to transform Kurnool into a smart city and foster rapid industrial growth, Minister TG Bharat’s vision for Andhra Pradesh’s future is clear. By prioritizing the needs of the public, streamlining approval processes, and collaborating with stakeholders, the state government hopes to lay a solid foundation for continued progress.
