The Chairman, the Managing Director of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, is interested in buying Liverpool Football Club. The club’s current owners, FSG or Fenway Sports Group, have reportedly planned an auction and put the club up for sale.
The FSG has fixed the asking price at a whooping £4 billion, which is over 323 billion in Indian rupees. Reports say that Mukesh Ambani has bigger or more interest in buying the entire ownership of the Merseyside club. According to Forbes, Mukesh Ambani, the 7th richest person in the world and has an estimated net worth of £90 billion, which is over 7 trillion in Indian rupees, has already shown his interest in buying the club.
A spokesperson from FSG disclosed the news of the club being put up for sale, and the football world was left in a state of a shock earlier this week. FSG has taken over and managed Liverpool Football Club for over 11 years since 2010. In recent times there have been several rumours about the change of ownership at English Premier League clubs, and the FSG was consequently being questioned regarding their ownership of Liverpool Football Club.

FSG reportedly received a lot of interest from parties from across the borders for buying the ownership of the renowned Liverpool Football Club. FSG has previously stated that they would gladly accept new shareholders under proper terms and conditions if it seems beneficial for Liverpool as a club.
Mukesh Ambani showed his interest in buying Liverpool Football Club back in 2010. The head of the Sahara Group, Subroto Roy, and Reliance Industries came together and proposed a bid to take a 51 per cent share in Liverpool Football Club in 2010. Christain Purslow, the CEO of Liverpool Football Club in 2010, has, however, disapproved of any such rumours.
