To apply for a marriage certificate in the offline mode follow the given below steps:
Step 1: Visit your nearest MCGM office or the registrar office to get the application form.
Step 2: Fill the application form thoroughly and make sure that you do not make any mistakes. Paste your passport size photographs in the boxes provided.
Step 3: After filling the details, submit your application form along with the self attested documents to the respective registrar officer. Before we begin to explain to you the procedure, you should know that the entire process of getting a marriage certificate is not online. - As we have mentioned earlier, the entire process of registration is not online, you will have to visit the office of MCGM. Also, you will not get the online copy of the certificate. You will get the hard copy handed to you physically or receive it by post from the respective office.
- In any case you are required to submit an affidavit for the process, you should consult the advocates. They will provide you with the necessary formats of the affidavit.
- Make sure that your witnesses are ready and available on the issued date.
- Make sure to keep all the required documents ready and do not be late to the registrar office otherwise your process may be delayed.
