myTVS Joins Forces with MoEVing for Electric Last-Mile Boost

myTVS to Introduce 10,000 Electric Two-Wheelers in its Fleet

Digital automotive aftermarket platform myTVS has announced its plans to add 10,000 electric two-wheelers to its fleet by March of next year. This move comes as part of the company’s new venture, called ‘Mobility-as-a-Service’ (MaaS), which aims to support last-mile electric vehicle operators.

Partnership with MoEVing and TVS Mobility Group

In order to offer end-to-end vehicle management solutions through their MaaS platform, myTVS has partnered with MoEVing, an EV-based logistics firm. As a part of the TVS Mobility Group, myTVS is set to invest up to Rs 1.5 billion in acquiring these electric two-wheelers. The company’s Managing Director, G. Srinivasa Raghavan, shared that their goal is to electrify 10 lakh vehicles within the next 5 to 10 years in the e-commerce sector. However, the immediate focus is on deploying at least 10,000 vehicles by March, all of which will be electric two-wheelers. The first rollout has already begun with 250 electric two-wheelers and approximately 50 light commercial vehicles (LCVs).

Capturing the Opportunity in the Electrification of E-commerce Vehicles

Raghavan expressed confidence in the new venture, stating that myTVS is well-positioned to capitalize on the significant opportunity presented by the electrification of e-commerce vehicles in the coming years. The MaaS platform has been specifically designed to cater to both personal mobility and fleet customers, with a strong focus on efficiency and sustainability.

Enhancing Customer Service and Expanding National Presence

Vikas Mishra, CEO of MoEVing, noted that the launch of the MaaS platform addresses a critical market need by offering a comprehensive solution. By leveraging myTVS’ extensive network and advanced technology, this partnership will enable improved customer service and expand their presence across the nation. Mishra believes that this collaboration will redefine the electric vehicle industry and pave the way for more sustainable modes of transportation in India.

As the demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, the move by myTVS to add 10,000 electric two-wheelers to its fleet marks a significant step towards a greener future. By providing comprehensive vehicle management solutions through their MaaS platform, myTVS and MoEVing aim to support last-mile electric vehicle operators and contribute to the wider adoption of sustainable mobility in India.
