National Highway 52 (NH 52)

National Highway 52, or NH 52, is a major national highway of India that runs from Sangrur in Punjab to Ankola in Karnataka. The highway passes through six major states in India, including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka. NH 52 got its title as NH 52 after uniting several existing national highways. NH 63, an old highway, used to run from Ankola, Karnataka and terminate at Gooty, Andhra Pradesh. NH 52 starts from NH 66 (previously called NH 17) at Ankola and goes up to Arebail ghat, Western Ghats, further to Yellapura and then to Hubbali, Hubli. In addition, a stretch of NH 13 was united with National Highway 52 from Vijapura to Solapur.
