Developments along the Noida-Greater Noida metro corridor are sure to boost real estate markets in the area. Fast trains may be provided for the 29.8 kilometre corridor that links Noida and Greater Noida almost a month before the full stretch becomes operational next month. The metro corridor currently has 21 stations with several areas adjoining this stretch. Upon assessment of the metro corridor and overall ridership, some stations may be given a miss by these fast trains until there is adequate demand. Sectors like 144, 147, 146, 153 and 149 may witness skyrocketing development on account of their proximity to the metro corridor and real estate markets may see future growth in these areas. Once this happens, overall ridership will increase considerably. Trains will initially stop at every station but fast trains may be launched in the future depending on overall demand. Trials have already taken place between the Depot Station in Greater Noida and Sector 149. The second stretch between Sector 146 and Noida Sector 83 has already been tested in May 2018. The third stretch between Sector 71 and Sector 83 will be tested soon. The final inspection will be done this month by the commissioner for metro rail safety as per reports. Needless to say, the Noida and Greater Noida real estate markets will get a massive boost from this mega infrastructural development. Operations will commence from October 2018 and property prices may also increase along the entire stretch in the future as per experts. With SBI operating as the concessionaire, commuters on the stretch will get City One cards which are multi-wallet cards applying for the parking zone, metro, buses and also for paying utility services in Greater Noida and Noida and buying items at shopping malls. Paper tickets with QR codes will be used by the NMRC (Noida Metro Rail Corporation) in case of single journeys. Check-in and check-out options through mobile apps will also be provided. This app can be downloaded absolutely free of cost for both iOS and Android smartphones.
