One can follow the steps below to apply for a DL online application:

• Open the official website of Delhi Parivahan

• Select the option of ‘Driving License Related Services’, and the homepage of ‘Saarthi Parivahan’ will appear.
• Select Delhi from the menu.

• Select the option of ‘Apply for Driving License’.

• A new page with all the instructions will open, which you need to read carefully. 
•  After reading the instructions, select the ‘Continue’ option.
•  A new screen will open, wherein you need to fill in all the details like the number of your Learners’ License, your Date of Birth, and all other necessary categories. 

• After submitting the above details, you will be redirected to the payment gateway page. You need to pay the required fees from the methods given on the page.
• After making the payment, an acknowledgement and receipt payment will be generated. 
• Now, your forms can be downloaded.

Visit the nearby RTO and turn in the necessary paperwork. Within 30 days following the test, you will obtain your license if you pass the driving skill test.

The applicants can monitor the status of their driving license applications online through the Sarathi Parivahan Delhi portal. The following are the steps to check the status of an application:

• Open the official website of Delhi Parivahan
• Select the option of ‘Driving License Related Services’, and the ‘Sarathi Parivahan’ homepage will appear.
• Select Delhi from the menu.
• Select the option of ‘Application Status’ placed on the top-right corner of the page.
•  A new page will open, wherein you must fill in all the necessary details like your number of applications and date of birth. Fill in the captcha and then select the ‘Submit’ option.

Eligibility to Apply for a Driving Licence

There are some criteria to remember to apply for a driving license. Some of them are listed below: 

• A valid learner’s permit is required.
• After 30 days and six months from the day a learner’s license was issued, applicants must apply for a permanent license.
• They should be familiar with driving, traffic, and car systems.
• In Delhi, applicants for a commercial DL must be at least 20 years old.

Individuals must be at least 18 years old to operate a vehicle with gear, while those between the ages of 16 and 18 can only operate engines less than 50cc without a gear.

• On their screens, applicants will see the payment gateway, where they must use the appropriate payment method to pay the application fee. The acknowledgement slip and payment receipt will be given to them.
