The Government of India’s Faridabad smart city Masterplan is an urban renewal and redevelopment programme. The 8 projects worth Rs 190.66 crore have been accomplished, while six tasks worth Rs 417.79 crore are under process. According to FSCL authorities, the company recently launched contracts for another 30 projects totalling Rs. 321.59 crores. The overall cost of the developments is Rs 930.04 crore.

Services plan for Eco-Tourism Near Badkhal Lake, Smart Urban Rural areas, Open Gyms, and Massive Hub for Multimodal provide basic services to Slum people.
Reasons for Delaying the Project
However, the postponement report on the smart city mission has been addressed on various channels. The relief is unforeseen due to the impact of multiple agencies and the lack of any answerable translucent tracking system for pending tasks.
A senior district executive explained that the main reason was the pandemic, operational and fee concerns and that attempts were being made to accomplish the pending tasks as early as possible.
Route
The project started in 2018 and consists of two major streets. However, related streets link Badkhal Chowk and Old Faridabad Chowk on the national highway and other spots in the Smart City development area. The task entails broadening and constructing concrete roads 1.5 m wide on each side, pedestrian pathways, parking spaces, and cycling tracks alongside drainage systems and underground electrical wires.
