While drafting a public notice in newspaper, the following a basic format is necessary, such as:

1. Name of issuing organisation: The name of the organisation issuing the notice should be on top so that the people get to know whether is it important or not.
2. Title: While writing a notice, we mention ‘NOTICE’ on top in bold to draw the public’s attention.
3. Date: On the left side below the title, the date of issuing the document is mentioned to keep a record of when the notice was issued.
4. Heading: It is the purpose for which the notice is issued. Heading should always be clear and concise.
5. Body: After the heading, writes briefly about the purpose. The main content of the notice is written here.
6. Writer’s name: At last, the name and designation of the person writing the notice are mentioned. The person should also sign the notice to confirm its authenticity and validity.

The key factors- what, where, when, and how must be included and highlighted in the content. The notice’s objective should be to inform, including all necessary data in clear language. It should also be visually appealing, and the provided word limit must be followed.

Public notice advertisements must be placed when a property is transferred, sold, or claimed against a sale. The purpose of the public notice is to find out if there are any objections to the sale, maintenance, lien, transfer of title, mortgage, etc. The claimants are given a 15-day wait time in the advertisement.
