After the recent controversy, the British-Indian Businessman and Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra is yet again in the headlines, but this time, it is definitely for all the right reasons. Raj Kundra has transferred five of his luxurious flats worth ₹ 38.5 Crores to Shilpa Shetty.
According to the sources, one of the transferred properties include the current home address and by that, we mean ‘Kinara’- the one along the Juhu beach and the couple’s most adored love nest.
Although we can’t reason this sweet gesture of Raj for his wife. One thing is for sure- Shilpa couldn’t thank her husband more for making her the owner of an opulent sea-facing mansion that possesses a plethora of luxurious amenities.

Shilpa Becomes Owner of Five Properties Worth Rs 38.5 Crores
Currently, Shilpa lives with her husband, kids and parents in their sea-facing ultra-luxurious bungalow. According to the sources, registration documents of the property demonstrate the transfer of five flats in the name of Shilpa Shetty, including the Ocean View building in Juhu.
But the question is- did he transfer the entire property or just a part of it?
Well, you must know that the cost of the entire mansion ‘Kinara’ is around 100 Crores. Raj transferred the complete first floor along with five flats of the mansion in his wife’s name.
But that didn’t happen free of cost. Heavy stamp duty was paid by Shilpa Shetty for the transfer process.
Stamp Duty Paid by Shilpa Shetty
According to sources and assessors, a stamp duty of a whooping ₹1.92 crores was paid to transfer an aggregate of 5,996 Square Feet area of the property in the name of Shilpa Shetty. The transfer of property took place on January 21, 2022.
As per RERA rules, every person has to pay a stamp duty of a certain amount (which differs from one state to another) on the transfer deed. In Maharashtra, the stamp duty on the transfer of property is charged 6% for urban areas and 4% for rural areas.
