Record residential deal in Breach Candy becomes landmark in Mumbai realty market

In another record breaking real estate deal in the Mumbai real estate market, a Breach Candy flat went for a whopping Rs. 1.49 per lakh sq. ft. The apartment is situated in the well-known Ashford Palazzo building which was bought by Satish and Sarita Patwari from Ashford Construction Private Limited previously. 225 sq. mts is the total area of the apartment and Rs. 36.11 crore has been forked out by the new buyer. This is the 3rd costliest real estate deal seen in Mumbai over the last couple of years. The registration for this deal took place on the 14th of June, 2018. The new buyer who happens to a businessman living presently at Gamdevi, also paid Rs. 1.80 crore in stamp duty. The project is located at the tony Breach Candy area in Mumbai just opposite to the Breach Candy Hospital. The apartment is situated on the 17th floor and this is the 10th living floor for the entire structure. The new buyers will also enjoy four car parking slots at the third podium level. There is one apartment on each floor of the building with amazing sea views for residents. In March 2018, Mumbai’s residential real estate market witnessed another mega deal when Champagne House at Worli was sold for a whopping Rs. 2.32 lakh per sq. ft. which established a new record of sorts. This apartment covered 2, 300 sq. ft. and sold for around Rs. 53.5 crore. The Champagne House was purchased by the Kotak Mahindra family spearheaded by Uday Kotak for around Rs. 275 crore. Ranjit Malhotra, Director at Empire Industries, shelled out Rs. 45 crore for a 2, 152 sq. ft. apartment at Breach Candy’s Ashford Palazzo back in August 2017.
