One of the most inspiring Bollywood actors, Shahid Kapoor, is making headlines for his recent real estate move that is set to generate a monthly rental income of INR 75,000. He has joined the long list of film stars who ventured into Mumbai’s real estate market by leasing his ultra-luxurious apartment in Andheri’s prime location. Located near Versova and spanning over 1400 square feet (130.02 square meters), Shahid Kapoor leased the apartment on January 15, 2025, according to the official reports.
Shahid Kapoor Received a Security Deposit of More Than 2 Lakh Rupees
This luxury apartment in Mumbai is surrounded by numerous Bollywood entertainment hubs and provides ample space for a luxurious lifestyle. According to the lease agreement, Shahid Kapoor will initially receive a monthly rental income of INR 75,000, which will increase to INR 78,750 after the first year. The transaction involved a stamp duty payment of INR 4,275 and a registration charge of INR 1000, which was also taken from the actor.
Shahid Kapoor also received a security deposit of INR 2,25,000 from the tenants Sudarshanwar Vishal and Sudarshanwar Elsa Nilaj. This rental property in Mumbai is a part of Cozy Apartments, developed by Cozy Group, which offers spacious 2 and 3 BHK apartments equipped with all modern facilities and amenities.
This is not the first time Shahid Kapoor has leased out his apartment to generate rental income. In November 2024, the Udta Punjab actor chose to rent out his Worli ultra-luxurious apartment to Dipan Bhuptani for 5 years, earning INR 20 Lakh monthly.

Multiple Bollywood actors have entered the real estate market by purchasing high-rent-yielding properties in Mumbai. In December 2024, Ayushman Khurana and his wife, Tahira Kashyap, rented out their Goregaon West apartment for INR 90,000.
