Shree Cement Company Information
Shree Cement is India’s third largest cement company, currently headquartered in Kolkata. Shree Cement has exponentially increased its output in the last few years. The production of the company has increased in the last twenty years from two million tonnes to 43.3 million tonnes within the country and around 50 million tonnes abroad. Their cement production plants are located in Beawar, Jobner, Ras, Suratgarh and Khushkhera in Rajasthan, Laksar in Uttrakhand, Bulandshahar in UP, Panipat in Haryana, Aurangabad in Bihar and Raipur in Chhattisgarh. The company also has power plants across the country. Power is sold under Shree Mega Power and Shree Power. The two plants are situated in Beawar and Ras. Except for the projects in Panipat and UAE, all Shree Cement plants are greenfield.
Shree Cement is listed on both stock exchanges. Its symbol is SHREECEM.
History of Shree Cement
Benu Gopal Bangur founded Shree Cement in 1979. The first plant was established in 1983 and production commenced in 1985. Shree Cement has always believed in sustainable and inclusive growth from the start. In 2003 they inaugurated their first captive power plant in Beawar. In 2015, Shree Cement became the first cement company to receive five-stars from Whitehopleman. Their greenfield projects speak for their work in the sustainable development field. Even after multiple wins, the company is not sitting still. They are constantly growing.
