Ujjain Smart City

Ujjain Smart City Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) was brought into existence on 2nd November 2016, under the Companies Act 2013 (Company Limited by Shares). Befitting its classification as a State Government company, it was registered with the Registrar of Companies, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The primary mission of USCL is to design, plan, execute, monitor, and maintain the Smart City Development projects with the utmost efficiency.

Ujjain Smart City is a project that aims to modernize the city of Ujjain and deliver high-quality public services to its residents. By leveraging technology and innovation, this project seeks to enhance the well-being of all inhabitants of Ujjain and enrich their daily lives.

Ujjain Smart City Projects

Ujjain Smart City project is an ambitious initiative taken by the Government of Madhya Pradesh in partnership with Ujjain Municipal Corporation to transform Ujjain into an advanced and connected smart city. The smart city project aims to provide citizens with improved infrastructure, services and quality of life.

1	Smart Classroom	Having reached a milestone of 5 schools and 97 classes, we have taken significant steps to ensure the best quality of education for our students. To ensure that our students stay up to date with the latest technologies, Ujjain Smart City has introduced Smart Boards, Projectors, Computers, and Digital Multimedia content to classes starting from I to XII (MP Board). Furthermore, every school has been equipped with a Language Lab and two additional high-end computers. To top it off, we have provided 4 MBPS of WiFi in each school and training for teachers. All of these remarkable achievements signify our commitment to providing the best education possible to our students.
2	She Lounge	She Lounge has been made especially for female passengers. This lounge is managed by a team of women staff. It is designed to provide a safe, comfortable and secure environment for the ladies. The lounge is equipped with all the necessary services and amenities that are curated to make the journey of female passengers more pleasant and hassle-free. The lounge has well-maintained toilets, baby care facilities, a sanitary napkin vending machine, and an incinerator. It also has an FM radio, TV, newspapers, magazines, and a Wi-Fi connection. There is also a waiting room, a wash basin, and a mirror for aesthetic requirements. Additionally, there is a novelty shop and ATMs in the lounge. The lounge is equipped with all the necessary amenities and services that are designed to make the journey of female passengers more pleasant and hassle-free. By providing such services, the Indian Railways has shown that it is committed to providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for female passengers.
3	Smart LED Street Light	On the 8th of December 2020, an extensive project was initiated to install LED streetlights across the city. After 39 days of hard work and dedication, the team was able to successfully install 16697 LED lights. Out of the total lights installed, 20455 were LED lights that replaced 17755 conventional streetlights. The team put in the effort to hand over all of the old fixtures to the Nagar Nigam store on a daily basis. An efficient reporting system was also put into place to track the progress of the installation, with regular updates and reports being sent out.
4	Solar PV – 3 WTPS	MPUVNL is implementing the installation of PV solar panels at three sites with a total capacity of 1.29 MW: Undasa Plant – 100 KW Gaughat Plant – 550 KW Ambodia Water Treatment Plant – 640 KW The installation of these solar panels is expected to result in an estimated annual savings of 3.0 Crore per annum for PHE/UMC.
