REC Transfers Rajasthan-IV H-1 Power Transmission Project to PGCIL
In a significant development in the power sector, the state-owned company REC (Rural Electrification Corporation) announced that its subsidiary, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), has successfully transferred the Rajasthan-IV H-1 Power Transmission project to Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL).
Adherence to the Bidding Process
PGCIL was selected as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) for the project through a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process. The bidding process was organized by RECPDCL, which acted as the Bid Process Coordinator (BPC). The project was developed on a Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) basis.
According to a company statement, the transfer of the special purpose vehicle (SPV), Rajasthan-IV H-1 Power Transmission, was officially carried out on October 15, 2024, in Gurugram. T. S. C. Bosh, CEO of RECPDCL, handed over the responsibility of the SPV to Satyaprakash Dash, the Company Secretary of PGCIL.
