After a month of frenetic activity and relentless efforts, we now look back at the grand success that was the Azadi Tour. From the simple idea of “freedom to choose one’s home” came this mega campaign that we took to 16 cities in the country along with GCC and Singapore. To celebrate India’s 72nd Independence Day, Square Yards launched this one of a kind event with the sole purpose of giving people a chance to own their home on their own terms.
The Azadi Tour’s main idea was granting our customers the azadi from rent, azadi from brokerage and azadi from the stress of searching for a home. The Azadi Tour saw participation from almost 50 top Indian and international developers including the likes of Emaar, Godrej, Gaur, Shapoorji Pallonji among others. These developers offered some of the most unbelievable offers on their projects including lowest booking amounts, lowest price match guarantee and a lot more during this two-day extravaganza. We partnered with leading banks to offer on the spot loans and fee waivers, the result of these amazing deals was that the Azadi tour saw more than 5000 clients walking in and making on the spot transactions worth ~₹350 crores, with double that amount in the pipeline.
We witnessed an unprecedented 100,000+ registrations with more than 500 properties being sold across 16 cities within a span of two days. The Azadi Tour has become a part of the real estate folklore for years to come as this event was one of the largest digital campaigns ever to take place in the real estate sector.
The idea of freedom is as essential to humans as is the necessity of owning one’s own home and in a truly serendipitous moment, the idea for the Azadi Tour was born.
