Blue Dart, a leading express services operator, has made a notable announcement with the launch of its integrated logistics hub in Bijwasan, New Delhi. This strategic move aims to boost air and ground connectivity across the northern region, positioning the hub as a key player in the country’s logistics landscape.
Strategic Location and Connectivity
The 2.5 lakh sq ft facility is situated along the Dwarka Expressway, just 20 minutes away from the Indira Gandhi International Airport. It also provides direct access to IGI Airport, Indian Railways, metro corridors, and key national highways. This strategic location ensures seamless integration with the upcoming Gati Shakti Logistics Corridor and the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan.
Sustainability-Focused Facilities
The Bijwasan hub boasts solar power installations with a 600-kW capacity, significantly reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable energy practices. This green initiative underscores Blue Dart’s commitment to low-carbon logistics solutions and its role in supporting customers’ decarbonisation journey.
Optimised Cargo Handling and Sorting
The facility is fully equipped to handle palletised cargo, with the capacity to process over 5.5 lakh shipments per day inbound and outbound. Its automated sorting system ensures precise and rapid cargo handling, reducing manual labour and improving resource utilisation to meet evolving business demands.
Commitment to India’s Economic Potential
“The Bijwasan facility is more than an infrastructure investment. It reflects Blue Dart’s commitment to sustainability, and scalability,” said Blue Dart Managing Director Balfour Manuel. This integrated logistics hub reinforces Blue Dart’s promise of efficient, more sustainable cargo movement, solidifying its position as India’s largest low-emission logistics hub.
