TGRESDCO Invites Bids for 1,000 MW Grid-Connected Solar Projects
The Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TGREDCO) has announced an exciting opportunity for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) service providers. The organization is inviting bids from qualified contractors for the development of grid-connected solar projects in the state. The total capacity of these projects will be an impressive 1,000 MW.
Submission Deadline and Empanelment Period
Interested bidders should mark their calendars for the bid submission deadline of 10th December 2024. The bids will be opened on 16th December 2024. To participate in the bidding process, interested parties are required to pay a non-refundable bid document fee amounting to $350. The empanelment period will last for one year, enabling the selected companies to execute their roles effectively.
Scope of Work and Requirements
The scope of work for the selected bidders includes the designing, supplying, and installation of solar power plants. The plants should be equipped with high-efficiency solar modules, capable of achieving a minimum capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 19%. The bidders should also provide a Remote Monitoring System (RMS) to ensure efficient and effective management of the solar projects. Furthermore, they must offer a comprehensive warranty and guarantee for a period of five years from the commissioning date. An additional one-year comprehensive operation and maintenance commitment is also expected from the bidders.
To qualify for the bidding process, the interested firms must have at least one year of experience in installing grid-connected, ground-mounted solar projects. Additionally, the companies should have commissioned projects totaling at least 1 MW over the past three financial years, with sustainable evacuation capabilities rated at 33/11kV. Demonstrating a minimum annual financial turnover of ₹30 million (~$356,049) during any of the past three financial years is another requirement murmured by TGREDCO. Alternatively, bidders can be eligible by showing an equivalent work order value for the cumulative capacity being offered.

Located in the Karimnagar and Sircilla districts of the state, these projects boast an impressive capacity of 3 MW each.
