Mighty Building, a US based construction tech startup is all set to build the world’s first planned community of 3D printed homes to combat the issue of housing shortage in California. Here’s what you need to know about this one-of-its-kind community!
In a bid to tackle the housing shortage in California, Mighty Buildings and Palari Group have announced the construction of a $13 million 3D printed community of homes in Rancho Mirage, California. These homes will be constructed using robots and 3D printers in Coachella Valley, Southern California
What will these 3D printed homes comprise of?
These 1,450 Sq.Ft. 3D-printed homes will look like the mid-century modern homes that will be constructed on a 10,000 square foot of land. The homes will comprise of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a separate 700 Sq.Ft. of two-bedroom and one bathroom unit. The outdoor space will showcase a swimming pool and deck.
This housing development will boast of 15 homes sprawling over four acres of land.
There is more to it! These 3D homes will feature a wellness intelligence solution that can control living aspects like air and water quality thereby creating a sustainable living experience for the home buyers. These zero net energy homes will not only rely on solar energy but at the same time, will also have optional Tesla Powerwall batteries for power.
Expected Completion
This community is expected to be completed by spring 2022.
