Implementation of RERA in Tripura
Tripura was the first state to launch and implement RERA among all the Northeastern states in India. The Tripura RERA website has been designed to help people access and operate it the easiest way possible.
The website for Tripura RERA was launched in December 2019 by the Chief Minister of the state- Biplab Kumar Deb. The government introduced two websites- the e-municipalities portal and the Tripura-Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) (rera.tripura.gov.in). These websites were launched to access real estate services through the portals easily.
The websites were designed and developed by the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura.
The website allows real estate agents to register themselves and promoters to register their projects with authority. Moreover, anybody can view the registered and approved projects with RERA. If anybody wishes to contact the authority directly through the phone or via mail, they can do so by calling or sending them mail. People can also approach the RERA Tripura office. All the contact details are available on the website.
The implementation of RERA not only uplifted the real estate industry in Tripura but also in other Northeastern states. It helped the agents and promoters to create a better term with the homebuyer. It offers transparency to people.
Now, homebuyers can know the current status of their property. Although the state RERA is still undergoing various modifications, it will soon be developed and upgraded like any other state RERAs in India.
