UAM (Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum)
UAM is a one-page registration form where MSME registrations can self-certify the existence of their organisation, bank information, promoter/Aadhar owner’s information, and other necessary details. The Udyog Aadhar Memorandum is not subject to any filing fees. After submitting the form, a unique Udyog Aadhaar number and an Udyog Aadhaar acknowledgement will be generated and sent through email to the address specified in the UAM. There is no need to file an Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum for businesses that have already submitted an Entrepreneurship Memorandum-1, Entrepreneurship Memorandum-2, or both, or for those who hold a Small Scale Industry registration. This was the case prior to the implementation of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (27 of 2006). Enterprises can submit several UAMs using the same Aadhaar number without any restrictions if they so choose.
