Are you excited about Noida Getting Uttar Pradesh’s First Pod Taxi? Well, India is all set to run its first pod taxi between Noida Film City and Jewar Airport with an unbelievable capacity to transport 35,000+ commuters daily. Jewar Airport is the future International airport being constructed in close vicinity to Jewar in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district. The newly suggested Film City is also being built on a similar route.
Pod Taxis are one of the advanced means of transport these days and are an environment-friendly transportation option as well. These automated taxis are designed to carry only a limited number of people at a time. These automated cars are powered by electricity and are made separately on rods to preventing traffic on roads.
Pod Taxi services are already running in South Korea, London and Japan. The Indian Government has advised the authority to study the pod taxi structure of these countries to achieve success in this initiative without any hassle.
According to the recent index of Uttar Pradesh, the Yamuna Authority has shown a green flag to this project and has already started preparing plans. This massive project is anticipated to cost around Rs. 810 crore.

On this subject, the Authority will conduct a meeting soon, and global tenders will then be drawn out for choosing the best suited developer for the pod taxi project. The developer company will be opted within just 2 months following the opening of the tender, the report stated.
While pod taxis are already popular in several other nations like London, Singapore etc, UP in India will be the first state to get the International System of Transit, and that’s really impressive!!
