Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken significant steps towards fulfilling promises made to the people of the state. During a program held in Rudrapur, Dhami distributed Nazul land leases and provided affordable housing allotments to thousands of beneficiaries.
Benefits for the People
A total of 2,600 beneficiaries received Nazul land leases, allowing them to acquire non-agricultural land owned by the government to realize their dream of building their own homes. Additionally, 403 individuals were granted ownership letters under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a government initiative to provide affordable housing to citizens.
Paving the Way for Development
Chief Minister Dhami also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development projects worth Rs 56,704.93 lakh. These initiatives will contribute to the overall progress and development of Uttarakhand. Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Dhami expressed his satisfaction in achieving this important milestone. He highlighted the commitment of the government to the welfare of its citizens and commended the efforts taken to overcome legal hurdles. Even in the face of opposition, the government went as far as taking the Nazul land issue to the Supreme Court, demonstrating its determination to protect the rights of the people.
Simplified Processes and Citizen Welfare
Dhami also emphasized the government’s dedication to simplifying processes for citizens, ensuring that officials facilitate all formalities directly at the beneficiaries’ doorsteps. This approach significantly reduces any financial burden on the people, making it easier for them to avail themselves of their entitled benefits. Furthermore, Dhami assured the regularisation of colonies will follow once all eligible families secure their ownership leases. The distribution of ownership leases to 2,600 families marks the first phase of this initiative, with efforts already underway to extend the benefits to additional eligible families in the near future.
