Indian Railways plays a crucial role in the transportation network of our country. The semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express trains were launched to offer a faster option for passengers. These trains have gained immense popularity owing to their high speed and efficiency. They are one of the most significant advancements in the history of rail transportation. With the introduction of more Vande Bharat trains, the first one is scheduled to arrive in Odisha this month. Let’s take a closer look at the details of the Howrah to Puri Vande Bharat train.
A Revolutionary Ride on Vande Bharat in Odisha
Exciting News for the people of Odisha as the town of Puri will soon be connected to Kolkata through the Vande Bharat Express. After completing the test drive, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the railway connecting Howrah station to Puri later this month. In December last year, West Bengals’ train’s first railway service between Howarh and New Jalpaiguri was inaugurated, and it has been a huge success.
The Howrah-Puri train is scheduled to depart in the morning, making stops in Kharagpur, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Bhubaneswar. The train will return in the afternoon and is expected to reach Howrah late at night. This train is expected to provide a faster and more comfortable travel option for passengers commuting between Kolkata and Puri, a popular tourist destination known for its famous Jagannath Temple.

Howarh to Puri Time Distance
Vande Bharat sets a record by traveling 500 km in 6.5 hours, with an average speed of 77 km/h and top speeds of 130 km/h on select routes. A key component of PM Modi’s initiative to provide first-rate amenities to rail passengers is his fleet of contemporary semi-high-speed trains known as Vande Bharat. Vande Bharat offers a fully-relaxable sleeping seat unlike all other trains, but there aren’t many of them on other trains.
India currently has 15 trains. The first Vande Bharat train to connect with Thiruvananthapuram and Kasargod arrived in Kerala. The nation’s sixteenth semi-high-speed train was that one. There will be a new Vande Bharat train soon linking Patna and Ranchi.
