The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is in charge of the urban development of the state capital, New Delhi. From DDA's housing program to land allocation, DDA has effectively managed the growing demand for housing, social infrastructure, and public facilities in Delhi. 

To keep up with technological advances, government agencies have introduced innovations and improved the administrative efficiency of the capital, thus reducing application processing time.

On 30th December 1957, the Delhi Development Board acquired its present name and role as its ninth builder of metropolitan Delhi. Authorities independently manage, plan, develop and build residential projects and commercial areas in the provincial capital. It also features public facilities such as parks, roads, bridges, ditches, community centres, and sports centres. 

This agency is also responsible for designing master plans for the state's territories and regulating structured development. DDA also identifies new land that can be developed as residential real estate, creating self-contained colonies to provide ample space for commercial and retail complexes.

DDA is the first independent development agency established in India. DDA recently brought many services online, like housing unit assignments, online housing program applications, land pool policy applications, and more.

• DDA plans and implements its master plan, which revolves around initiating new residential extension areas and areas to promote a healthy and secure environment.
• According to the DDA's official portal, the Authority has acquired over 67,000 acres of land, out of which 59,504 acres have already been developed.
• The DDA is also responsible for creating decentralised commercial spaces and workplaces near residential areas.
• DDA has allotted land for social, educational, cultural, and religious purposes. Several industrial areas, approximately 12,000 units, have been developed in all corners of the city.
• DDA provides an environmentally sustainable ambience by working on several extensive open spaces with flourishing and lush green belts and forests, including creating sports facilities in the city.
